Blueberry jam

American blueberries are loved by both children and adults. They taste great fresh and in preserves. If you haven’t eaten blueberry jam yet, quickly fix that mistake. Blueberries are at their best now, and making jam from them is incredibly simple and takes just a moment. Check out our recipe for blueberry jam. In our recipe book you’ll also find a recipe for blueberry liqueur. We recommend both to adults.

Recipe for blueberry jam

Preparation:

Wash the blueberries, place them in a pot and gently crush them with a masher, but do not pound them into a pulp. Start cooking over low heat. In the meantime, add 3/4 of the sugar and Kwasomix or lemon juice to the fruit.

Simmer the mixture very gently and slowly until the fruit releases its juice. Then mix Fruktażel with the remaining sugar, turn off the heat and add the mixture to the fruit. Stir thoroughly and bring to a boil.
This is the moment to check whether the jam’s consistency and taste are right. To do so, transfer 2 teaspoons of jam onto a small plate and taste it once it cools. The jam should set nicely. If you find the jam not tart enough or too sweet, adjust it, then bring it back to a boil.
Transfer the finished jam to previously thoroughly washed jars (e.g., scalded with boiling water), screw on the lids and pasteurize. Once the water comes to a boil, pasteurize the jars for 15 min.

Enjoy! ...because homemade is better!
