Usage:

Avoid sudden thermal shock to the glass, as large temperature differences can cause damage. Before use, keep the demijohn at room temperature for at least one hour. Do not fill the demijohn with water hotter than 50°C. Wash the glass in lukewarm water with a sanitiser such as potassium metabisulfite or Oxi Turbo.

During vigorous fermentation, significant stresses can occur. At this stage, we recommend closing the demijohn with a looser cotton-wool plug to help prevent possible glass cracking.
