Usage:

Avoid sudden temperature shock to the glass, as large temperature differences can cause damage. Before use, let the demijohn sit at room temperature for at least one hour. Do not fill the demijohn with water hotter than 50°C. Wash the glass in lukewarm water with a sanitizer such as potassium metabisulfite or Oxi Turbo.

Because vigorous fermentation creates significant internal stress, during this phase it’s recommended to close the demijohn with a less-tight cotton plug rather than a tight stopper to prevent possible glass cracking.
