How to use:

Avoid sudden temperature shocks to the glass—large temperature differences can cause damage. Before use, let the demijohn sit at room temperature for at least one hour. Do not fill with water hotter than 50°C. Wash the glass in lukewarm water with a sanitizer such as potassium metabisulfite or Oxi Turbo.

Because vigorous primary fermentation creates significant internal stress, during this stage it’s best to close the demijohn with a looser cotton plug rather than a tight seal—this helps prevent the glass from cracking.
