Usage:
Avoid thermal shock, as sudden temperature changes can damage the glass. Before use, let the demijohn sit at room temperature for at least one hour. Do not fill the demijohn with water hotter than 50°C. Wash the glass in lukewarm water with a sanitizer such as potassium metabisulfite or Oxi Turbo.
During vigorous fermentation, high stresses can develop. At this stage, it’s recommended to close the demijohn with a less airtight cotton plug, which helps prevent the glass from cracking.
