Plastic wax is commonly used to coat cheeses, especially rennet cheeses and ripened cheeses. The wax we offer is a food-grade product and its high quality has been confirmed by tests.
Cheesemaking wax is used for protecting cheese against drying out, contaminants and micro-organisms, such as mould. In addition, the wax-coated cheese takes on an aesthetically pleasing appearance, making it more visually appealing.
Plastic wax is safe for human health – it is a food product that meets certain quality standards.
The wax is usually applied onto the cheese as a warm, liquid mass, which then hardens on contact.
Plastic wax can also be used in modelling, wood preserving, metal surface securing and pipe sealing, as well as for hairstyling.
