Once you’ve installed the controller module, heating module, and thermal cutoff/thermocouple in line with the manual, and connected the set to power, you can manage your smoker’s operation—including smoking with a dragON Jet series smoke generator, by connecting the generator pump hose to the controller’s port.

Smoke responsibly and safely

The smoker you’re fitting with these modules should be placed/positioned outdoors under a roof. This spot should protect the smoker and modules from weather (rain, snow, excessive sun) and provide a grounded power supply.

WARNING! To ensure correct installation and safe operation of the modules with your smoker, carefully read the manual supplied with the modules and follow all recommendations—especially those concerning safe work with electrical devices.

Use the set components only as intended. Any use outside their purpose may pose a risk to health and life.

The heating module is powered by a life‑threatening 230 V voltage.

When touching the heated device, wear protective gloves.

Do not leave the device unattended.

With dragON modules (including the Jet series smoke generator) you can smoke in several modes:

• drying (without smoke) temperature ~ 60°C
• cold smoking ~ temperature 16–25°C
• warm smoking ~ temperature 30–55°C
• hot smoking ~ temperature 55–65°C
• finishing/baking-off ~ temperature 70–85°C

The temperatures provided are approximate; choose exact values for your specific batch.

When selecting a mode, use the controller settings according to the general guidance provided and any recipe recommendations for your particular batch.

Operating the smoker without convection at the maximum temperature, i.e., 90°C (depending on weather conditions), is permitted for no longer than 4 hours.

It’s especially important to thoroughly clean the thermocouple and the thermal fuse after each use—ideally with Browin’s specialist, highly effective Smoker Cleaning Liquid.
