Check out our new module for Browin stills. The OLM module consists of a receiver, an inspection glass and a precision valve. It is an element compatible with the other modules available in Browin’s offer.
OLM system means lowered reception, in which the distillate receipts are controlled instead of heating and cooling.
The OLM module is usually installed together with an Aabratek or Thor head, about 30-40 cm under the head.
At the very top of the column, in the head and directly below it – in the pool, among others – the lightest substances accumulate, i.e., higher alcohols, tails, fusels and esters. Meanwhile, 30 cm below, more or less at the height of the reception cup in our OLM, pure ethyl alcohol accumulates in the filling, received through the lowered side receiver.
OLM works only in combination with prismatic springs – only this filling is characterised by HEPT that is appropriate for obtaining the sufficient number of theoretical steeps between LM and OLM receivers.
Installation of the OLM module:
* The support and the springs are not included in the set and need to be purchased separately.
The distillation method employing the OLM module differs slightly from the standard one as it is necessary to control two receivers.
Structural characteristics:
Every country has its own legal regulations governing the manufacturing of ethyl alcohol, wine products, and spirits, introducing them onto the market, and regarding sanctions for non-compliance.
