An essential complement to a demijohn is a properly fitted rubber bung with a fermentation airlock or a cork stopper.

The stoppers available are PZH-certified for food contact. The stoppers are equipped with a Ø 0.8 cm hole for mounting a fermentation airlock. Made of PVC.
Usage
Synthetic stoppers for demijohns – before use, it is recommended to wash them thoroughly in warm water with dishwashing liquid, then dry them carefully. This is to remove the silicone layer left from production, which may cause the stopper to be pushed out of the demijohn during fermentation or to slip off in the case of rubber caps.
