Our conical 12 L bag will be perfect for filtering must and finished wine, as well as for purifying infusion liqueur. The liqueur filtering bag will allow you to carry out professional filtration of batches without worrying about spillage of liquor or the bag being penetrated by unwanted fractions. It is made of pure, raw cotton and ensures success without any worries about its impact on the flavour and colour of your liquor. The product is reusable - it should be flushed and dried after each use. The bag can be washed manually or in washing machine in the temperature of 60°C. It can also be used as a less expensive alternative to a fruit juice press, used after initial maceration or fermentation of fruit.
How to use a filtering bag:
Before the infusion liqueur is filtered, it should be cooled down, thanks to which the impurities will coalesce into “thicker” floccules, thus increasing the filtration efficiency. After pouring the liquid into the bag, the bag should be hung - on a string, for example - by the holders attached to it and the liquid should be allowed to flow down due to gravitation. The liquid will seep slowly through the tip of the bag, while any impurities will settle on its sides. In the case of transferring wine we recommend placing the bag on a funnel. In order to increase the efficiency of the process, such a bag can be “twisted” around its axis.
Please note:
The bag can be washed in washing machine in the temperature of up to 60°C. After the bag is washed using detergents, it should be rinsed very thoroughly so that no detergent remains penetrate the liquor during filtration.
