Recipe for gooseberry liqueur
Preparation:
Wash the ripe, plump fruit thoroughly, drain in a sieve, remove the stems and tails, lightly crush, and put into a jar. Add the sugar, pour over with alcohol, seal tightly, and set aside for two weeks in a sunny spot at room temperature, remembering to shake the jar from time to time. Then strain and pour into bottles. It's that simple!
Note!
The fruit is suitable for decorating desserts; you can also cover it with alcohol again, adding more sugar, which will yield a gooseberry liqueur.
