Red wine contains up to ten times more antioxidants than white wine. Its secret also lies in compounds that combat free radicals responsible for cell aging. The flavonoids found in red wine protect against atherosclerosis and clots. They counteract the oxidation of bad LDL cholesterol and help prevent platelets from clumping together, thereby reducing the risk of clot formation and stroke. The strong antioxidants in red wine destroy free radicals responsible for coronary heart disease. The presence of tannins supports proper digestive function. Red wine consumed with meals increases saliva secretion, stimulates the production of digestive enzymes, and improves circulation. Drinking red wine (in moderation!) is therefore a great way to help prevent many diseases. To learn how to make red wine yourself, we invite you to check out our recipe!

Recipe for homemade red grape wine

Preparation:

Remove the grapes from the stems, gently crush them, and add Pektoenzym, nutrient, and yeast. Leave everything covered for 3-4 days. After this time, press out the juice and pour it into a demijohn, topping up the must with sugar syrup (water + sugar). Leave to ferment. After about 3-4 weeks of fermentation, rack the wine and adjust its flavor. You can also measure the sugar concentration using a saccharometer, as the wine may still need sweetening.

Enjoy! ...because homemade is better!
