Recipe for homemade date wine
Preparation:
Finely chop the dates or use a pectic enzyme. Pour 2 L of boiling water over the fruit and wait until it cools. Once it reaches room temperature, add yeast to the must. Leave the resulting mash to ferment for 3 days. After this time, strain everything and add orange zest. Dissolve the sugar in a small amount of water, and add the resulting sugar syrup together with the nutrient to the mixture. Top up with water to a volume of 10 L and leave to continue fermenting. The wine is ready to drink after just 6 months.
