Recipe for homemade cherry liqueur

Preparation:

  1. Pit the washed cherries.
  2. Place them in a shatterproof jar, sprinkle with sugar, and leave at room temperature for one day.
  3. When the cherries release their juice, pour over the alcohol. At this time also add a vanilla bean or a piece of cinnamon bark.
  4. Seal the jar tightly and set aside for a month.
  5. After this time, press the soaked fruit using a fruit press, or simply enjoy it. The latter option is much more tempting and lets you feel the true power of wonderfully aromatic cherries.
  6. After pressing, leave the liqueur to clarify, and when sediment forms, gently decant it into bottles.

Enjoy! ...because homemade is better!
