Mai Tai is an iconic tiki-style drink, associated with exotic flair and an intense, multi-layered flavor. Citrusy notes, a touch of sweetness, and a distinctive aroma have made it one of the most popular tropical drinks for years. 

Recipe for a Mai Tai drink 

Preparing the alcoholic base with essence:

  1. Pour 4 liters of high-proof alcohol into a container.
  2. Add Jamaica Rum essence.
  3. Mix everything thoroughly.
  4. Set the drink aside for at least 24 hours to let the flavors meld (for the best taste and aroma, we recommend waiting 7 days).

Tip: When preparing a smaller amount of liquor, use the indentations on the essence bottle, which help measure the proportions - 10 ml of essence per 1 liter of alcohol.

Preparing the drink: 

  1. Into a shaker or blender filled with ice cubes, pour: the previously prepared alcoholic base, triple sec liqueur, almond syrup, and lime juice.

Tip: Instead of a cocktail shaker you can use a regular jar. To get a thicker foam, you can shake the drink twice - first with ice, then without.

  1. Shake vigorously for a few seconds until the ingredients combine and chill.
  2. Add fresh ice cubes to a glass.
  3. Strain the cocktail into the glass using a cocktail strainer.
  4. You can garnish the drink with mint and lime.
