Wholemeal bread is widely considered healthier than white bread. It is much easier to feel full with it, and it keeps hunger at bay for longer. Many people also choose wholemeal bread for its taste.

Regardless of the reasons why you choose this type of bread, we encourage you to try the recipe below. At the same time, we thank our Customer and her daughter for sending it in.

We encourage everyone to send us at the address przepisy@browin.pl  their own tried-and-tested recipes along with photos. We will be happy to publish them.

PREPARATION

Sift the bread flour and wholemeal flour into a bowl, add salt, sugar, and yeast. Mix everything thoroughly. Then add the butter, pour in the water, and knead the dough until smooth and elastic. Shape the dough into a ball and leave it covered in a warm place until it doubles in volume.

Punch down the risen dough and divide it into two parts. Place into tins greased with butter, cover, and set aside again in a warm place until doubled in volume.

Place the risen loaves in an oven preheated to 230℃ and bake for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 190℃ and bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
