There’s probably no one who hasn’t eaten a burger at least once. It’s one of the most popular dishes of recent years, winning many fans. It’s no surprise that eateries serving burgers have been popping up like mushrooms after the rain. One thing is certain: whether you choose a traditional meat burger, vegetarian, or vegan, their common denominator will always be the bun.

Thanks to the recipe sent by Marysia and her Mom, we can consider the first step toward homemade burgers complete. It’s up to you what you put inside—stay at home and experiment. Satisfaction and pleasure for your palate guaranteed.

PREPARATION:

In a bowl, mix warm milk, butter, and sugar. Add the yeast, mix again, and set aside for 15 minutes.

Next, add the egg and salt, gradually add the flour, and knead the dough until smooth.

Leave the kneaded dough for 1 hour in a bowl covered with a cotton cloth. After this time, shape the dough into buns and flatten them well. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or on a pizza stone, cover again with the cloth, and leave for 45 minutes.

Before putting them in the oven, brush the buns with egg yolk beaten with milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for 12–15 minutes.
