The Margarita is one of the most recognizable cocktails in the world, valued for its combination of citrus freshness and bold character. In its strawberry version, it gains a fruity note and a slightly dessert-like accent.
Recipe for a Strawberry Margarita cocktail
Preparing the alcoholic base with essence:
- Pour 4 liters of high-proof alcohol into a container.
- Add Strawberry flavor essence and sugar to taste (recommended amount: 200–500 g of sugar per 4 liters of alcohol).
- Stir thoroughly until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- Let the drink rest for at least 24 hours to allow the flavors to meld (for the best aroma and taste, we recommend waiting 7 days).
Tip: When preparing a smaller batch, use the indentations on the essence bottle to help measure the proportions — 10 ml of essence per 1 liter of alcohol.
Preparing the cocktail:
- Moisten the rim of the glass with lime juice and dip it in sugar or salt.
- Add ice cubes to the shaker.
Tip: Instead of a cocktail shaker, you can use a regular jar. For a thicker foam, you can shake the cocktail twice — first with ice, then without.
- Pour in the measured portion of the previously prepared alcoholic base.
- Add orange liqueur, lime juice, and simple syrup.
- Shake vigorously.
- Strain the cocktail through a strainer into the prepared glass and serve immediately.
- Garnish the drink with a wedge of lime or a strawberry.
