Parameters such as pH (acidity) and soil moisture have a major impact on the healthy growth and beautiful appearance of your plants, as well as the size and quality of your harvests. So if you want to take your vegetable, fruit, and flower growing to the next level, make sure you equip yourself with this indispensable 2-in-1 soil tester. With our device, you’ll quickly and easily check all the above soil parameters on your plot, in a backyard garden or greenhouse, on the balcony, and even in pots with your houseplants! Our tester is also perfect for lawn care!
Knowing your soil pH makes it much easier to plan and then maintain optimal growing conditions. Most garden plants grow best in slightly acidic to neutral soil (pH 6.0-7.0). In this range, beneficial microorganisms thrive and nutrients are readily available to plant roots. In soil that’s too acidic, helpful bacteria die off and molds develop, and many minerals form water-insoluble compounds.

pH measurement:
To lower soil pH, add sulfur; to raise it, add lime. Because the amount depends on your soil type, consult reliable gardening guides when choosing application rates. Use lower doses of sulfur (or lime) for light soils low in organic matter, and higher doses for fertile, humus-rich soils. You can maintain the correct soil pH by using appropriate fertilizers.
