DIY product.
Method for preparing alcoholic beer:
Dissolve the contents of the sachet in a fermentation vessel in 1 L of hot (not boiling) water. Then add 0.5 kg of unrefined sugar and mix thoroughly. Top up with cool water to a total volume of 10 L and add the brewer’s yeast, then mix again and close the fermentation vessel.
Carry out fermentation at a temperature of 21-27°C for about 6-10 days, in a place not exposed to direct sunlight. After this time, check the wort gravity – if it is around 1-2⁰Blg, the beer can be bottled, adding 4 g of sugar for each 0.5 liter.
Leave the capped bottles for a few days at room temperature, then move them to a cooler place (max. 18°C) for at least 2-3 weeks. Chill the beer well before serving.
Ginger beer fans who prefer non-alcoholic drinks can make the alcohol-free version of Coopers Ginger Beer – aromatic and gently sparkling.
