Recipe for homemade blackberry liqueur
Ingredients:
- 1 kg ripe blackberries
- 450 g sugar
- 0.5 L of 40-50% alcohol
Preparation:
Pour the washed blackberries into the jar, pouring sugar over them in layers. Shake everything for a few times so that the sugar is mixed well with the fruit. Cover the jar with gauze and leave it in a warm place for about 1.5-2 weeks. An insolated sill is a good example of such a place.
After this time passes, crush the fruit and pour alcohol over it. Close the jar tightly with a lid and leave it fro another 1.5-2 weeks. Keep shaking the jar regularly during that period. Afterwards, filter the liqueur. A filtration bag will be excellent for that purposes. After separating the liqueur from the fruit flesh, store it in a jar or in bottles. After 6 months the liqueur gains the full flavour and is ready to drink.
Bon appétit!
