Do you love warming winter teas? Do you take care of your immunity during the cold season? Your pantry should not be without homemade raspberry syrup! Its properties will help strengthen the heart and lower blood pressure. Additionally, raspberries support the treatment of kidney and gallbladder conditions. Raspberry juice is also perfect for summer. Just add it to ice water to get a refreshing drink on hot days. How to make raspberry juice? You can prepare it the traditional way - in a pot - or speed up the process by using a steam juicer! Below we provide recipes covering both methods!

Homemade raspberry syrup recipe

Preparation:

Pot method:

Wash the raspberries, transfer them to a pot, cover with water and set over heat. After it comes to a boil, cook the fruit for 5 minutes, then strain through a sieve. Add sugar and lemon juice to the clear juice. Simmer for 10-15 minutes. Note! Foam will form on the surface; skim it off.

Steam juicer method:

Wash the raspberries and place them in the steam juicer. Sprinkle the fruit with sugar. Pour water into the lowest container of the juicer. Close the juicer and set over heat. After 45-60 minutes you can start draining the juice. You can do this directly into jars or into a vessel from which you will conveniently decant the juice later. Drain the next batch after another hour.

Sterilize the jars or bottles - pour the finished juice into them and screw the lids on tightly. The juice does not require pasteurization, however, if you want to ensure that it will keep on the pantry shelf for a long time, you can pasteurize it. Pasteurize the juice in a pot lined with a cloth for about 20 minutes from the moment it boils, then remove the jars / bottles and set aside to cool (you can leave the jars inverted).

Enjoy! ...because homemade is better!
