Blueberries are among the most delicious summer fruits—sweet, juicy, and full of aroma. Sealed in a jar as homemade jam, they retain their color and unique flavor for many months. Thanks to the addition of pectin, the jam thickens quickly, and a few drops of Janek-Majster essence enhance its aroma and make it even more special. This is a simple, tried-and-true recipe that always works!

Recipe for blueberry jam with Janek-Majster essence

Preparation: 

  1. Add the blueberries to a pot, add the lemon juice and half the sugar, and cook slowly until they release their juice.
  2. Mix the remaining sugar with pectin and add it to the fruit, stirring to prevent lumps.
  3. Cook for another 5–7 minutes, until the mixture thickens.
  4. Remove from the heat, let it cool slightly, and add Jänek-Majster essence.
  5. Transfer the hot jam into sterilized jars and seal.
