Hemp flour is made from ground hemp seeds. It is gluten-free, rich in protein and minerals, and also contains small amounts of fat. It is the only flour that contains the complete set of 9 essential amino acids that our body cannot produce on its own. It is very well suited to baking and cooking. However, remember that gluten-free flour has different viscosity and cannot be rolled out, so at first baking with hemp flour alone may cause some difficulties. It is therefore best to add hemp flour to other healthy flours, e.g., spelt or millet, and bake bread or pancakes with it. Homemade bread lets you bring a bakery-like aroma into your kitchen. Its freshness and taste will delight many a palate. The prepared loaf is 100% gluten-free, and you only need a few ingredients to bake it.
Step-by-step recipe for homemade gluten-free bread with hemp flour
Preparation:
Weigh out and thoroughly mix together: the gluten-free flour blend, hemp flour, dried yeast, salt, and sugar. Add the water and oil. Mix everything thoroughly and vigorously with a wooden spoon, to aerate the dough well. Set the dough aside in a warm place for 30 minutes. In the meantime, soak the Roman pot in water, place it in the oven for a moment and start heating the oven to 150°C (to temper the pot). Remove the pot, grease it thoroughly with butter and dust with flour. Then transfer the dough into it, cover it with a damp cloth and leave at room temperature for 15 minutes. After this time, place the pot in the oven preheated earlier to 100°C. Once 230°C is reached, bake the dough for another 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 190-200°C and bake the bread for another 30 minutes.
