Homemade Krupnik has an amber color, a honey-and-spice aroma with prominent notes of cinnamon, ginger, and cloves, and a sweet, thick, warming flavor of spices and honey. The sensations that accompany tasting homemade Krupnik are unique, as it cannot be mistaken for any other drink. With our recipe, you will prepare this delicious homemade Krupnik without the slightest problem.

Recipe for homemade Krupnik

Preparation:

Thoroughly mix the honey, rectified spirit, and water. You can do this cold or warm. If you choose the warm method, heat the honey with the water, skim off any foam, and carefully pour everything into the vessel with the spirit. Then gently mix everything together with the spices. Set the prepared mixture aside in a warm but non-sunny place for at least a month (three months is optimal). For the cold version, let the mixture stand for at least half a year. After the recommended time, filter the mixture and bottle it.


As one of the few exceptions, Krupnik tastes perfect when served warm. Heated in a saucepan over low heat and served in small ceramic shot glasses, it will fill your home and your taste buds with a phenomenal spicy aroma. Krupnik also pairs great with a little butter and chocolate.
