Recipe for homemade strawberry jam
Preparation:
Wash 1 kg of strawberries, hull, crush them, and transfer to a saucepan. Cook, bringing to a boil. In the next step, add Frukta-Żel, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Transfer the hot jam into hot, sterilized jars and seal with dried, sterilized lids. Set them upside down for 5-10 minutes, then leave to cool.
Note! You can also pasteurize the jars.
Before you start making your own treats, make sure they are truly natural—read the labels of the gelling/thickening products available on the market, because even there you can find preservatives (e.g., potassium sorbate, sulfur dioxide), thickeners (e.g., guar gum) and acidity regulators (e.g., citric acid and sodium citrate).
*And to thicken jam, ordinary, 100% natural pectin is all you need.
