There’s nothing simpler than a layered apple cake! A few ingredients, a few layers of apples and dry ingredients, and in the oven a golden, aromatic cake forms that delights with the taste and scent of spices. Perfect for afternoon coffee or a family gathering.
Recipe for Lumberjack Apple Cake
Preparation:
- Mix the wheat flour, semolina, sugar, and baking powder.
- Grate the apples, add the spices and Bourbon-flavored essence, and mix.
- In a baking pan, arrange the layers: dry mixture, half of the apples, dry mixture, the other half of the apples, the remaining dry ingredients.
- Grate the butter on top.
- Bake at 180°C for about 50 minutes.
- Let it cool; optionally dust with powdered sugar or serve with ice cream.
