Eggs often grace our tables. They can be served in many ways. We're used to stuffed eggs, egg spreads, and salads with the addition of eggs. How about smoked eggs? And made at home? We have a very simple recipe for smoked eggs for you. Their mild, smoky flavor, somewhat reminiscent of oscypek, will enhance almost any meal, not just Easter meals. All you need to make them is a balcony smoker and some spices. Shall we begin?
Recipe for smoked eggs
Preparation:
Hard-boil the eggs and peel them. Prepare a spice blend to your liking, e.g., super spicy with a hint of herbs. Then sprinkle the eggs with it. Smoking can also be done without using spices. Place the eggs in the smoker and warm-smoke at 35-50°C for about 40 minutes, until they take on a golden-brown color. For the smoking process, we particularly recommend using plum wood chips. Smoked eggs prepared this way taste great on their own with salt and pair wonderfully with a salad with olives, Greek-style cheese, tomato, cucumber, and a touch of chili oil.
Enjoy! ...because homemade is better!
