Spinach yeasted star bread is a recipe we received from one of our Customers – Ms Renata. We love it when you share your recipes with us, so today in the “Our Customers’ Recipes” series we want to share this recipe with you. It’s an idea for a tasty and eye‑catching snack. Although it looks complicated, the “star” is actually easy to prepare. The filling hiding cheese and spinach, surrounded by a yeast bun, is a fantastic option even for lunch. You can take portions of the “star” with you anywhere. Served warm, e.g., at a get‑together with family or friends, it will surely be a hit. You can enjoy this yeasted marvel both warm and cold.
Many thanks to Ms Renata, and we encourage you – write to us about your culinary creations!

1. Knead the dough from the listed ingredients. After kneading, divide the dough in half and set aside to rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
2. Cook the potatoes and mash into a smooth purée using a masher or grinder. Sauté the chopped onion and garlic in butter, add the spinach and seasonings. Simmer until all the water evaporates from the filling. Thoroughly combine the potato purée with the crumbled curd cheese and the cooled spinach.
3. From each half of the yeasted dough, roll out a round disc about 28 cm in diameter. Place one of them on a baking sheet and put some of the filling in the center. Then, around the perimeter, leaving a gap of a few centimeters from the edge, form a ring with the remaining filling.
4. Cover everything with the second dough disc. Cover the filled center with a round bowl. Gently press the edges of both discs together to seal, e.g., with a fork.
5. Using a knife, cut the circle radially around the bowl into equal pieces. Flip each piece upwards so the filling is on top.
6. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 25 minutes.
