Recipe for wheat bread with dried yeast and flaxseed
Preparation:
Mix 200 g of flour with 10 g of yeast, a teaspoon of sugar, and 200 ml of water. Then add salt, flaxseed, and the remaining 600 ml of water to the rest of the flour. Mix the contents of each bowl until you get a uniform, soft mass. Set both mixtures aside for an hour. After this time, combine them with a spoon and leave in a warm place for another 30 minutes. After half an hour, take out the dough again and fold it toward the center from each side. Leave it for another 30 minutes in the same place, then take it out and fold again. By the second folding, the dough should be more elastic and a few bubbles should have formed. In the meantime, prepare the Roman pot. Soak it in water for 15 minutes, then thoroughly grease the inside with butter and dust it well with flour. Next, transfer the dough into it. Place it in a warm oven for 30 minutes to proof the dough. After that, cover the pot with the lid, increase the temperature to 250°C, and bake for 20 minutes. Then remove the lid, reduce the oven temperature to 190–200°C, and leave the bread in for another 40 minutes (by this time the crust should be nicely browned and the bread should sound hollow). Wheat bread with dried yeast and flaxseed is ready to eat as soon as it has cooled.
