This essence lets you quickly make a delicious, aromatic liqueur in just 24 hours! Simply mix your favorite high-proof spirit with the right amount of sugar and essence, then leave it for a day to meld. Decide whether you want it more or less sweet—and make it just the way you like. A 40 ml bottle makes 4 L of liqueur, and the handy grooves on the bottle let you dose the essence in several portions. How to use the chocolate flavor essence?

Pour 4 liters of high-proof alcohol into a vessel, add 450 to 650 g of sugar (depending on how sweet you want your liqueur), then add the flavor essence. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved. Leave the drink to rest for at least 24 hours*. A fully aromatic, boldly flavored liqueur—ready to enjoy! For a smaller batch, use the bottle’s indentations to measure 10 ml of essence per 1 L of alcohol.

*For the best flavor and aroma, we recommend enjoying the drink with essence after about a week.

This essence contains sulfites - but that’s nothing harmful or unusual. Sulfites can occur naturally in food, form during processing, or be added to protect it from microbial spoilage and browning. In our case, the sulfites in the caramel, once diluted in alcohol, are present only in trace amounts. The undiluted essence contains no more than 12 mg of sulfites per liter. For comparison, that’s less than 10% of the sulfite content in a store-bought bottle of white wine, which typically contains 130–150 mg/L. Sulfites are completely safe for your health—and they’re not to blame for how you feel after a bottle of wine ;).
