Do you want to drink good beer, show off, and treat your friends to your own brew? You can start your homebrewing adventure today!

To brew 1.7 kg of concentrate you will need:

  • A pot of approx. 4–6 liters
  • Stirring paddle
  • A can of hopped malt extract with the yeast located under the lid
  • 1 kg of sugar – ideally get crystalline glucose or a can of unhopped malt extract, this will make your beer better and give it proper gravity and fuller flavor
  • 30-liter fermenter with a tap
  • Hydrometer
  • Airlock
  • Thermometer
  • Potassium metabisulfite or sodium metabisulfite – for sanitizing equipment
  • Coopers Carbonation Drops - for carbonating the beer (you can also use glucose or sugar, but the foam won’t be as stable)

  1. Thoroughly wash and sanitize all the equipment needed to make beer using potassium or sodium metabisulfite.
  2. Remove the yeast and the instructions from under the lid. Place the can of hopped extract in hot water for about 10 minutes to make it easier to pour out the contents.
  3. Rehydrate the yeast – place it in a glass of water at 25–28°C and leave for about 30 minutes.
  4. Pour the contents of the can into a pot with about 2–3 liters of water. Add sugar — 1 kg of crystalline glucose or 1.5 kg of liquid malt extract. Heat and stir until dissolved (do not boil).
  5. Pour about 10 liters of water into the fermenter, add the dissolved extracts to obtain 23 liters of wort. Ensure the wort temperature is around 20–22 °C.
  6. Add the yeast and stir vigorously.
  7. Close the fermenter with a lid fitted with an airlock filled with water.
  8. Fermentation usually takes about 7–10 days. After about 5 days you can check the sugar content with a hydrometer. You can end fermentation at 0–1°BLG.
  9. Then you can bottle the beer using the tap. The bottles should be clean and sanitized. Add one Coopers Carbonation Drop to each bottle, or 4 grams of crystalline glucose or sugar. Then cap them and leave for about 4 weeks

Beer can be stored for up to 2 years, but it tastes best after 3 months! We recommend experimenting, mixing different extracts, and adding spices and hops.
