Lovage is a seasoning without which we can’t imagine broth — it brings out its vegetable aroma and flavor. It is also one of the key ingredients of the popular MAGGI seasoning. Lovage tastes great added to sauces, meat dishes, fish, and seafood. It also pairs nicely with salads and homemade cheeses. Beyond its flavor, lovage is valued for its health benefits. It has a positive effect on the circulatory, urinary, and digestive systems. Thanks to its high vitamin C content, lovage also supports immunity. In addition, this plant has long been known as a natural aphrodisiac, with a stimulating effect in both women and men. No matter which of its properties you find most appealing, one thing is certain: lovage is worth using. Below you’ll find a super simple recipe for lovage paste — essentially homemade MAGGI without artificial preservatives or flavor enhancers. For storage, small-capacity jars work best.
