The total, nominal capacity of the ham maker is 1.5 kg.
You can prepare a dish with a maximum of 1.1–1.2 kg of meat in the device.
The minimum fill is approx. 0.7 kg.
Use the device in a pot at least 20 cm tall. Place the closed ham maker in the pot, then add water so it reaches the lid of the ham maker but stays 3–4 cm below the rim of the pot. This safe water level prevents boiling over during poaching.
