Distiller’s yeast is a select group of yeast varieties, specialized for production of highly concentrated alcohol. They are resistant to high concentration of sugar (up to about 32°Blg). The distiller’s yeast family includes many strains that differ in terms of the fermentation duration and, as a result, the time of batch fining and the amount of fermentation side products such as hydrogen sulfide.
You can choose either distiller’s yeast without nutrient addition
or turbo yeast that contains both yeast and nutrients within a single sachet. Our offer features a wider array of turbo yeast varieties, i.e. select distiller’s yeast varieties with nutrients adjusted to them. The nutrients include all substances that the yeast requires – sources of nitrogen and phosphorus (e.g. diammonium phosphate), vitamins (i.e. thiamine hydrochloride - vitamin B1), and buffering substances responsible for ensuring pH value appropriate for yeast (e.g. calcium carbonate).

Fermiol distiller’s yeast
FERMIOL distiller’s yeast is reliable French yeast that allows obtaining 16% alcohol content in 2 weeks. It is recommended for sugar and fruit batches. It produces only small quantities of hydrogen sulfide. Packed into 7 g sachets. Suitable for 20-25 L batches. Best results are obtained when used together with nutrients containing vitamin B1 and Kombi Vita nutrients.
Turbo Torpedo yeast
The Turbo Torpedo yeast is the first yeast family introduced in BROWIN. It consists of 4 types of yeast in 4 grammages, characterized by different fermentation duration (24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, 5-7 days). It enables obtaining 14-18% alcohol content within 1-7 days (depending on the type selected). It is intended for sugar and fruit batches, as well as maize, barley, rye, potato, and molasses batches.
Turbo Grom yeast
The Turbo Grom yeast is the most popular line of our distiller’s yeast. It consists of 4 types of yeast in 4 grammages, providing different fermentation duration (24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, 5-7 days). It enables obtaining up to 19% alcohol content within 1-7 days (depending on the type selected). It is intended mainly for sugar batches but can also handle fruit batches and cereal batches. When designing this line of yeast, our biotechnology laboratory developed a new and innovative nutrient that helped yeast obtain an even higher alcohol concentration.
Turbo Revolta yeast
The Turbo Revolta yeast is our most recent line of “budget” distiller’s yeast. Make no mistake, though - in spite of its low price it is just as good and efficient as its cousins from other lines. It is intended mainly for sugar batches but can also be used successfully with fruit batches and cereal batches. Our biotechnology laboratory, which does its best to constantly improve our products, selected a new, revolutionary strain of yeast that made conducting the distilling process even less expensive. This strain is not as resistant to temperature, however, which is why it is not suitable for very large butches, e.g. 100 L.
Turbo Carbo yeast
The Turbo Carbo yeast contains nutrients and activated carbon. The latter absorbs any adverse fermentation side products, which translates to higher activity of yeast and higher purity of the finished product. It enables obtaining up to 19% alcohol within 48 hours. It is intended for sugar batches.
Yeast for fruit batches
Our line of yeast for fruit batches includes three references: Turbo Fruit, Turbo Grappa, and Turbo Slivovitz.
The Turbo Fruit yeast is suitable for fermenting batches consisting of white and red fruits. It enables obtaining 14-18% alcohol content within 5-7 days (depending on the quantity and type of fruits used). This yeast contains a select strain of yeast and specialized nutrients, thanks to which the finished drink will have a richer fruity aroma.
The Turbo Grappa yeast allows adhering to the zero waste spirit and fermenting once again the pomace left after wine production. It enables obtaining 14-18% alcohol content within 7-10 days. The sachet contains special yeast and a rich composition of nutrients, thanks to which it is possible to obtain excellent full-value alcohol from the pomace.
The Turbo Slivovitz yeast is our new product that helps prepare fragrant Slivovitz (plum brandy). It is a perfect mixture of yeast, nutrients, vitamins, and Pektoenzym (which dissolves pectin, contributing to faster fining of the batch). It enables obtaining 17-18% alcohol content within 10-14 days. The best results can be obtained by using ripe purple plum fruit.
Yeast for cereal batches
At present, our line of yeast intended for cereal batches includes a single reference, but we are working on introducing more. The Turbo Whiskey yeast is a strong strain of yeast adjusted to fermentation of cereal mashes made of barley, rye, wheat, maize, and rice. It also features an added enzyme – amyloglucosidase – which dissolves the starch in cereals that is normally not available to yeast. The Turbo Whiskey yeast enables obtaining within 6-9 days a drink with the characteristic flavor of whiskey, having the alcohol content of 13-15%. In order to reinforce its aroma, it is best to add oak wood chips.
Yeast for potato batches
Potato vodka has a long tradition in Poland. Our laboratory developed a special mixture for potato batches – the Turbo Potato yeast – containing, next to yeast and nutrients, also an enzyme – glucoamylase – which dissolves the potato starch that is normally not available to yeast. The Turbo Potato yeast allows obtaining 13-15% alcohol content within 6-9 days.
Turbo X-Pure21.3%yeast is an innovative product that contains a mixture of two highly alcoholizing strains of distiller’s yeast, capable of obtaining 21.3% alcohol content. The sachet also contains an original composition of nutrients and agents that regulate the pH level of the batch, thanks to which the process is quick and efficient, and the final product is pure and devoid of any unwanted scents and aromas. The success of the whole process is ensured by the pioneering approach to sugar dissolution. It is important to add sugar in the following portions: 7 kg + 2 kg / 25 L). This ensures a soft fermentation start for the yeast (optimal, not too excessive osmotic pressure - resulting from the high sugar content in the solution). Adding the second portion of sugar after 24 hours results in the yeast receiving extra sugar at the moment when its cells are fully regenerated and some of the biomass has already multiplied.
