Pizza stone user manual:

Before using the stone for the first time, wash it under running water (cold or lukewarm) or wipe it with a wet cloth.

Place the clean stone (with ground side facing up) on the grill in the form of grid/grating, on the middle level of a cool oven. The size of the stone is adjusted to that of the grill in order to take advantage of its useful surface optimally. Set the temperature to about 250-270°C and heat the oven up for 30-60 minutes. Using a pizza peel, place the pizza on the stone and bake it for a few minutes - depending on the dough thickness, in line with recommendations resulting from the recipe. Remove the finished pizza from the oven using the pizza peel. Once the baking is finished, leave the stone in the oven to cool down completely.


  • Avoid sudden temperature changes - granite does not like extreme temperature fluctuations, which is why it is always necessary to put the stone into a cool oven and remove it only after it cools down. This will prevent thermal shock and secure the stone against presumptive fracturing. Also avoid placing cold products (e.g., taken straight from a refrigerator) on it.
  • Never heat a wet stone - if a wet stone is heated, the water will not be evaporated properly and the rising internal pressure may lead to fracturing.
  • Please note! The stone heats up to high temperature - direct contact with it may cause burns. Use appropriate protective gloves if necessary.
  • Do not smear oil on the pizza stone - the ground surface of the granite features micro-pores and may absorb some of the oil, which will have impact on the flavour of the food baked. Additionally, undesirable smoking from the oven may appear.


Wash the stone manually, optionally using gentle (natural) dish washing measures. Scrape off gently the stuck remains of the dough.

The appearance of spots on the pizza stone surface is a natural process resulting from using the product. All the spots that do not disappear after washing have no impact on functioning of the stone - they only testify to it being used frequently.
