Fermivin VR5 is a dried, selected wine yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) originating from the Burgundy region of France.
Fermivin VR5 are wine yeast fermenting up to 16% alcohol, recommended for wines made from chokeberry, elderberry, black currants, black grapes, sweet cherries, sour cherries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and plums. These yeast perfectly extract aroma from red and high-tannin fruits that require long maturation. In order to achieve rapid and complete fermentation, it is necessary, among other things, to ensure the optimal fermentation temperature, which for these yeast is from 18 to 32°C.
One sachet of yeast is suitable for preparing 10 to 35 L of wine must.
Fermivin VR5 dried wine yeast are very easy to use; a short rehydration - hydration - is enough.
Directions for use:
Mix the contents of the sachet in 100 ml of boiled water cooled to 30℃, and leave for 20 minutes at room temperature. After this time, pour the solution into the fermentation vessel or demijohn with the wine must.
The yeast reach their full potential when used with nutrients: with vitamin B1 and Kombi Vita.

For optimal fermentation, it is advisable to add nutrients: with vitamin B1 (401010), Kombi Vita (401030).
