The innovative design of the airlock allows it to be installed horizontally and saves space. The airlock allows carbon dioxide to escape during fermentation and protects the batch against flies and other insects. It is made of high-quality, durable plastic, making it safe to use - you do not have to worry about it breaking and injuring your hands. The wide cup makes it easy to pour in water for fermentation. Thanks to the moving water column you can notice the changing intensity of the fermentation process. Water evaporation is natural, which is why it is necessary to remember to top it up in the airlock. In case of limited possibility to check the water level in the airlock, it can be filled with an oily liquid that evaporates to a lesser degree.

An essential part of the kit is an approved rubber stopper fitted to the opening of the demijohn, with a hole in which the airlock can be installed. It is recommended that the stopper is thoroughly washed with warm water and washing liquid and then dried thoroughly before use.

When using the demijohn, remember that the glass should not be subjected to excessive thermal shocks, as too great a difference in temperature can damage it. It is recommended to wash glass products in lukewarm water with addition of, e.g., potassium metabisulphite or Oxi Turbo.
