What inspired us to create this unique essence was the Polish and Lithuanian liquors based on spirits from the end of 17th century and the beginning of 18th, enriched with blends of herbs, spices and honey. The ancient “Krupnik” was present not only at the homes of gentry, but also in those of wealthy peasants. In view of its special composition, it was used as an excellent remedy for various ailments. On the other hand, it was considered one of the best drinks offered during feasts and wedding receptions.

How to use:

Pour the content of the bottle to 4 L of the drink. Add 1-1.2 kg of honey. Stir everything thoroughly and leave it for 24 hours^*. The notches in the bottle allow measuring out 10 mL portions of the essence, each allowing preparation of 1 L of liquor.

The above recipe (included on the label) is a simplified version that allows making delicious liqueur, but not a clear one. If you want to obtain a clear liquor with about 40% alcohol content, use the recipe included below.

By using our simple recipe you can make about 5 litres of excellent, amber-coloured liquor with aroma of honey and root spices. You can modify our recipe as you please, by adding more or less honey and spirits.

Dissolve 1-1.2 kg (0.8-1 L) of honey in 2.1 L of water and bring it to boil. Next, remove the foam appearing on the surface in order to obtain clear liquor. Add 1.9 L of 95% spirits and the whole flavouring to the solution once it cools down. Stir everything thoroughly and leave it for 24 hours^*.

Precipitation of sediment at the bottom of the bottle with finished liqueur is a natural phenomenon.

The essence, depending on the production batch, may be clear or slightly milky - both forms are correct.

^*For the best taste and aroma effect, we recommend consuming the essence drink after about a week. 

Ingredients: glycerine, water, aroma, acidity regulator: citric acid; glycerol triacetate.

Volume: 40 ml.
