The 4 L Roman pot is a great choice for health-conscious people. It is a vessel made of natural clay, in which we can prepare a variety of dishes, ranging from roasted vegetables or meat, delicate fish, ending with bread. Such a pot is suitable for meat and vegetarian dishes, as well as for dishes from various cuisines, e.g. Georgian or Hungarian.

Thanks to pores in the clay surface, the pot soaks up water, which is released as steam when the pot is heated. Dishes prepared in such a way retain most of their vitamins, are extremely aromatic and have a unique flavour, which cannot be obtained when cooking in ordinary dishes. The baked dishes are juicy, despite the fact that they are baked without the addition of fat.

The Roman pot is easy to use and clean, you only need to remember a few tips which you will find below.

How to use:

- Before each use the pot should be soaked in water for 10-15 minutes. The pot should be soaked in whole, with its cover. Next, it needs to be placed in a cool oven. In order to obtain a crunchy dish, remove the pot cover 10 minutes before the baking/roasting ends.
- Prior to baking bread, smear the pot surface with butter or coconut oil and sprinkle it with breadcrumbs or flour in order to facilitate taking the baked loaf out
- Do not place the pot directly over a gas burner or an electronic cooktop.
- The Clay baker must not be subjected to sudden temperature changes.
- Do not pour cold liquids into the pot when it is hot.
- The maximum recommended temperature of baking/roasting in the Clay baker is 200°C.
- The pot is intended for use in gas and electric ovens.

Washing and cleaning:

After using the pot it is necessary to soak it a few times in warm water and then wash it with a sponge or soft brush. Persistent soiling can be removed by using baking soda. From time to time it is worth boiling the pot in water with vinegar in order to neutralise smells. The product is not dishwasher safe.
After washing, the pot should be left to dry completely and then it should be stored open, best in a draughty place.
