Add the oak chips to your chosen spirit at a rate of 2-6 g per 1 L of alcohol, and allow them to steep for 3 to 6 weeks.

The ideal contact time should be determined individually through tasting.

Once your desired aroma intensity is achieved, remove the chips and enjoy your refined spirit.

Alternative method: Soak the oak chips in 70% alcohol for several days to create a concentrated extract. Dose this oak essence into your beverage as desired.


Pro Tip:

Using a lower dose over a longer maceration period allows the spirit to penetrate deeper into the wood fibers, resulting in greater flavor complexity and a more nuanced finish than with shorter infusions.
