A water-filled fermentation tube is used to protect the cuvée from oxidisation, while the carbon dioxide produced during the process can escape regularly.
The capacity of the innovative Maxi tube has been increased by up to 92% compared to conventional tubes, making the tube more useful. It is non-splintering, durable and safer for the cuvée. The capacity of the tube minimises the risk of the water evaporating and fruit flies or other insects or bacteria getting into the fine wine or pickled vegetables. By enlarging the diameter of the tube's calyx, it is easier to pour water into the tube. The conical end of the tube reduces the risk of leaks and makes it easier to adapt the tube to different stoppers. The tube makes it possible to observe the fermentation process, it is transparent and aesthetically pleasing.
