Do you want to enjoy fined fruit wine or juice? Use Klarowin - an effective fining agent for wine and juice, intended in particular for white and rose wine. A single 10 g packaging is enough for 10 L of wine or juice and contains (negatively charged) bentonite, which, once it swells in water, exhibits strong adsorptive properties. Within its structure, it binds various positively charged substances, mainly proteins and metal ions, causing their sedimentation on the bottom of the container. It also increases the alkalinity of wine slightly. The sediment that forms is fragile and poorly compacted, easy to filter out.
Note!
This agent should be used only after completing the fermentation process! Otherwise the fining process will not proceed correctly and no coagulation will take place.
Homemade wine is not always clear, which is why it may be necessary to fine it. Unfortunately, one can never be totally sure whether the opacities they deal with are cause by positively charged molecules (such a proteins), or negatively charged molecules (such as polyphenols) or other compounds of organic origin. Before applying a specific fining agent, it is worth trying it out on a small wine sample (about 1 L). This will enable selecting the right fining agent. The fining process usually takes about a week. It is also necessary to remember not to use an excess dose of fining agents. If such excess dose is used, it may cause secondary opacities or colour changes in wine.
How to use:
Pour the right amount of Klarowin into 100 mL of water and mix it thoroughly. Leave the mixture so prepared for a day, stirring it sporadically. Afterwards, pour the resulting solution into the liquid fined. The effects should be visible after about a week, in the form of sediment falling to the bottom
