Klarowin Turbo 2 is a two-component, efficient, effective and quick clarifying agent for wine and mash.
The set consists of component A - negatively charged kieselsol (silica solution) and component B - positively charged chitosan solution which has a broad chelating potential. The agent eliminates tannic turbidity (-), proteins (+) and metal ions (+).
Home-made wines are not always clear, therefore, clarification may be needed. Sometimes it is difficult to determine the type of turbidity. It can be caused by positively charged particles (e.g. proteins), negatively charged particles (e.g. polyphenols) or other compounds of organic origin. The use of a two-component agent ensures removal of all types of turbidity in wine and mash.
Klarowin Turbo 2 is quick - the effect of clarification is visible already after 24 hours.
Caution: When clarifying wine, be sure to dose the agent according to the instructions. Using too much agent can result in secondary turbidity or change the colour of wine.
Directions for use:
After the fermentation process is completed, decant and degas the liquid thoroughly (excess CO2 would extend the clarification time). Add component A (silica solution) in proportion to the amount of liquid to be clarified (the content is sufficient for max. 25 litres). Stir gently for about 10 seconds and set aside for 1 hour. After this time, add component B (chitosan solution) in proportion to the amount of liquid (the content is sufficient for max. 25 litres of liquid). Stir gently for about 10 seconds. Set aside approx. 24 hours. Next, decant the liquid.
CAUTION: The product may slightly change the colour of the wine.
Ingredients:
Ingredients A: silicic acid.
